10 Nintendo Switch Games to Put on Your Radar This Autumn in 2026

by | Oct 2, 2026

As a Capricorn, I’m a winter girl at heart, but autumn comes in a very close second.

I like the cooler weather. I like when it starts getting dark earlier. I like getting cozy. And I definitely don’t mind having another excuse to stay inside with my Switch.

There are quite a few games coming to Nintendo Switch this autumn, there are farming games, magical games, JRPGs, and a few that don’t really fit the typical autumn gaming vibe at all. They’re just releasing around the same time and happen to be games you might want to put on your radar.

So, here are some of the Nintendo Switch games you might want to put on your autumn gaming radar.

Little Witch In The Woods

1 | Little Witch In The Woods

A little witch.

A forest.

Potions.

A village.

Yeah, I’m going to play this.

Little Witch in the Woods puts you in the role of Ellie, an apprentice witch who arrives near a village and gets to spend her days gathering materials, making potions, exploring, fishing, helping villagers, and generally living her best little witch life.

It’s pretty much the definition of an autumn game for me.

A forest, a little village, potion-making, things to collect, and cats? Yeah. This one is very much my kind of game.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter

2 | Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is the full remake of the second chapter of Trails in the Sky, following Estelle and Joshua after the events of Trails in the Sky the 1st.

Unlike the original game, this remake has been completely rebuilt with modern 3D visuals.

If you’ve played The 1st, you already know this isn’t exactly a small commitment.

There’s a big story. Lots of characters. Towns to explore. Side quests. Plenty of dialogue.

It’s the kind of game that can eat up your evenings without even trying.

And if the first game is anything to go by, there will be plenty of hours to sink into this one.

Farming Camp

3 | Farming Camp

Farming Camp is pretty much exactly what it sounds like.

You’re dropped into a farming camp where you’ll grow crops, take care of animals, fish, complete chores, play mini-games, and get to know the other people around you.

Sometimes a game doesn’t need twelve different kingdoms, an ancient prophecy, and a villain trying to destroy the world.

Sometimes it can just be a farming game.

This one looks like a fairly laid-back option for when something more complicated isn’t what you’re in the mood for. Crops, animals, fishing, collecting, chores, and little activities to keep things moving.

And with a September release, the timing works pretty well for some chilly evenings on the couch.

Magical Craft: My Enchanted Dress Shop

4 | Magical Craft: My Enchanted Dress Shop

A magical dress shop.

A cute little village.

Cats.

And sewing magic.

Yeah, this one was pretty much guaranteed to end up on my list.

Magical Craft: My Enchanted Dress Shop puts you in the role of Lilia, a young dressmaker who uses the sewing magic she inherited from her grandmother. You’ll explore the village of Fleune, gather materials, make fabrics, create dresses, fulfill requests from villagers, and work your way toward becoming a legendary dressmaker.

You can also befriend cats, which is obviously important.

It has that storybook village feel, collecting and crafting, cute outfits, magic, and a bunch of little things to do while you wander around.

And the fact that you can mix and match fabrics, patterns, colors, and other details to create your own dresses makes this one feel like exactly the kind of cozy game I could lose an afternoon to.

Plus, it comes out October 2, so it’s landing right in the middle of peak cozy-game season.

The Witch's Bakery

5 | The Witch’s Bakery

A witch.

A bakery.

What’s not to love?

The Witch’s Bakery combines magic, baking, exploration, gathering, characters, and a fantasy world set in Paris. You’ll run a magical bakery, make food, gather ingredients, explore, build relationships, and decorate your bakery.

It’s also being released in October, so the timing couldn’t be more appropriate for a game with a witch and a bakery at the center of it.

It’s a pretty predictable choice for an autumn gaming list.

Harvestella

6 | Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea

Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea brings the usual farming and life-sim stuff, but there’s more going on than just planting crops and taking care of animals.

You’ll also explore the world, build relationships, craft, fish, explore caves, and travel between different areas.

So there’s plenty to do when the farming starts getting repetitive.

And since this one is coming out in October, it fits nicely into the autumn lineup.

7 | Tales of Eternia Remastered

Tales of Eternia Remastered isn’t a farming sim. It isn’t cozy. There isn’t a bakery, a witch, or a tiny village where you can spend hours decorating a house.

It’s a classic JRPG.

And that’s more than enough reason to have it on this list.

I’m a huge fan of older JRPGs, and Tales of Eternia has the big adventure, a party of characters, two worlds to explore, and classic Tales combat.

It’s also the kind of game that gives you plenty to do, which is exactly what I want when I’m looking for something I can disappear into for a while.

An October release is pretty damn perfect timing.

Final Fantasy Resonance

8 | Final Fantasy Resonance

Okay, I’m cheating a little with this one too.

Final Fantasy Resonance isn’t an autumn game. I’m not going to pretend it is.

I’m just a huge fan of 2D/2.5D JRPGs and Final Fantasy, and since this one is releasing in October, of course I’m going to put it on my autumn gaming list.

Sometimes that’s all the reason I need.

Give me a new-to-me 2D/2.5D JRPG releasing right when I’m already looking for games to sink my time into, and I’m going to pay attention.

And if it happens to involve Final Fantasy?

Even better.

So no, this one isn’t here because it has an autumn aesthetic.

It’s here because October is bringing me a Final Fantasy JRPG, and I’m not going to ignore that.

Village in the Shade

9 | Village in the Shade

Village in the Shade takes place in Kagatsu, a small Japanese mountain village where you’ll farm, customize your home, get to know the locals, and explore the surrounding area.

But there’s a little more going on than the usual farming-sim setup.

There are rules you’re supposed to follow, including not talking to strangers and not leaving the village at night.

Which immediately raises the question: what the hell is going on in this place?

That’s probably the part that makes this one stand out.

It’s still got the farming, decorating, and village-life stuff, but there’s clearly something else happening underneath it all. The hand-painted art style also gives it a storybook look that sets it apart from some of the other life sims coming out this year.

Unpetrified: Echoes of Nature

10 | Unpetrified: Echoes of Nature

Unpetrified: Echoes of Nature takes things in a different direction.

You play as a stone golem traveling alongside a fox through a world affected by petrification. You’ll explore, solve environmental puzzles, collect things, interact with wildlife, and uncover what happened to the world around you.

The fox is obviously going to get some attention here.

Beyond that, it’s a pretty different-looking adventure compared with the farming sims and JRPGs elsewhere on this list.

And releasing in November puts it right into the part of the year where staying inside with a game starts sounding particularly appealing.

Witchbrook

Bonus | Witchbrook

And finally, Witchbrook.

I’ve been waiting for this game for what feels like forever, so there was no way I was leaving it off this list.

Witchbrook is a magical life sim set in Mossport, where you get to attend witch school, learn spells, make friends, forage, craft, take part in seasonal events, customize your cottage, and apparently figure out what kind of witch you’re going to be.

Basically, I get to go to witch school.

That’s enough of a selling point for me.

I’m also very into the fact that the game isn’t just about learning magic. There’s a whole town to explore, people to meet, activities to get involved in, and a cottage to make your own.

This is probably the game on the list that I’ve been waiting for the longest, and I’m hoping it finally gives me the excuse to disappear into Mossport for a ridiculous number of hours.

The only annoying part?

We still don’t have an exact release date.

Release date: 2026 — exact date TBA
